We are driven by passionate inquiry into what makes us human, from how we live alongside each other to how we live alongside animals, and from the deepest past to recent history affecting modern-day life. We achieved strong results in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF2014), and we attract more research students and research funding than any other faculty.
